A. REQUIREMENTS

Any pool (constructed or erected) which is used or intended to be used as a swimming pool in connection with a one, two or three family residence and available to the families of the householders and their private guests, shall be classified as a "family swimming pool". The pool structure shall be engineered and designed to withstand the expected forces to which it will be subjected,

Swimming pools must be installed under permit according to CABO One, Two and Three Family Dwelling Code.

The proposed location for the pool must be approved by the Zoning Administrator, 333-3887. The pool may not be located less than 6' from a roar or side property line, and is not permitted in a required front yard (150.336 (E,) R.C.G.O.).

Pools must be located 10’ from all overhead wiring and 5' from all underground wiring (680-8. NEC).

Family swimming pools are accessory only to one, two and three family residences AR others are public or semi-public, and require approval of the Ohio Department of Health.

Any plumbing or electrical connections to the Pool or its equipment must be done under separate permits and inspections from those offices. Plumbing inspection, 333-3892. Electrical inspection, 333-3881.

B. PLANS REQUIRED

Plans are required. The permit application must be submitted with plans and specifications certified by an Ohio registered engineer or architect. (Certification not permitted by copy).

C. GENERAL INFORMATION

All work performed must be in accordance with the approved plans, the Zoning Ordinance, CABO One, Two and Three Family Dwelling Code and all other applicable laws and Ordinances. During the progress of the work and until final approval, the green permit card issued with the Construction Permit is to be posted as required by the Building Code in a conspicuous place visible from the street. Any permit shall become invalid if the authorized work remains uninitiated, suspended or abandoned throughout any six-month period. It is the responsibility of the permit holder to call for all inspections. A twenty- four-hour notice is required for any inspection. To request an inspection, Building 333-3897
