Qualified Medicare Beneficiary (QMB) -
100% of FPL -
QMB is
like a free Medicare supplemental policy - it pays deductibles and coinsurance
not covered by Medicare and the Medicare Part B premium. QMB applications can
be done through the mail. The application is available by calling Job Center
Main Reception at 225-4148.
Specified Low Income Medicare Beneficiary
(SLMB) - 120% of FPL - pays the Medicare part B premium and is retroactive for each of the past
three months
Qualified Individual 1 (QI-1) -
135% of FPL - pays the Medicare
Part B premium
Qualified Individual 2 (QI-2)
- 175% of FPL - pays a minor part
of the Medicare Part B premium
